Eco-Friendly Packaging
At La Pelucherie, we really care about the environment. That's why we encourage you to choose eco-friendly or recycled packaging options for your plushes.
For example, use fabrics you already have at home or an old silk scarf to wrap this plush? Or even, imagine using a piece of jute or linen to give your gift a natural and rustic look.
You can also collect some elements from nature like autumn leaves or twigs to decorate it all. It's not only beautiful, but it also shows that you've thought of every detail!
Furoshiki Wrapping and the Art of Origami
Do you love DIY and are looking for a truly original way to wrap your plush? Let yourself be tempted by Furoshiki, this Japanese art that uses beautiful fabrics to wrap gifts.
It's simple: take a piece of colorful or patterned fabric and use it to wrap the plush. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but this fabric can also be reused in many ways - as a scarf, a bag... It's the gift that keeps on giving!
And for small plushes, have you ever thought of Origami packaging? Yes, you can literally make a small box or a unique container by folding paper. It's great for adding a creative, artistic, and surprising touch to your gift.

The Technique for Properly Wrapping a Plush in Gift Wrap
You've chosen to wrap your plush with gift wrap but don't quite know how to go about it? Don't panic! Here's what you'll need and how to proceed for a pretty and successful wrap:
Materials Needed:
- Gift wrap - Choose a design that pleases and matches the occasion and the person.
- Scissors - For clean and precise cuts.
- Adhesive tape - Transparent is better, so it remains discreet.
- Ribbons or tinsel - To add that little extra that makes all the difference.
- Decorative elements (optional) - Like tags, small fir branches, or glitter to personalize your wrap.
Steps to Follow :
- Measure and cut the gift wrap: Place the plush in the center of the unrolled paper. Make sure you have enough paper to completely cover the plush, leaving an excess for the sides and ends.
- Position the plush: Place the plush face down on the paper. It's easier to fold the paper over the back of the plush.
- Fold and secure the paper: Fold one side of the paper over the plush and hold it with your hand while you fold the other side over, making sure to pull the paper taut so it's smooth and pretty. Secure both sides with a small piece of adhesive tape.
- Fold the ends: At the ends of the plush, pinch the gift wrap and fold it accordion-style to create pretty edges. Secure each side with adhesive tape.
- Add the ribbon: Take your ribbon or tinsel, and wrap it around the wrapped plush. Make a pretty bow on top or on the side to give it a festive look.
- Decorate: Now it's time to let your creativity run wild! Add your decorative elements: a tag with a message, a small fir branch, or just a touch of glitter, for example.
And there you have it, your plush is wrapped and ready to be given!

What About Large and Giant Plushes?
Ah, giant plushes! They have the power to make the eyes of young and old shine, but their imposing size can pose a real challenge when it comes to wrapping them.
First, you'll need large rolls of gift wrap! Before you start, make sure you have enough to completely wrap the plush. For really enormous plushes, you may need to use several sheets of paper and assemble them with adhesive tape.
Then, the larger the plush, the heavier it is... For very large plushes, it can be useful to build a cardboard base to help stabilize the wrapping. This will also make transport easier. You can also use a double layer of gift wrap to prevent tearing.
For giant plushes, it's sometimes easier to do multi-part wrapping. Wrap the head first, then the body and limbs separately, especially for plushes with long arms or legs. Use ribbon to clearly mark the different parts after wrapping them separately.
After wrapping your large plush, make sure everything is secure by lifting it slightly. This allows you to see if any adjustments are needed before giving it away.
